Ground broken on the new QA A&E - Conservatives fund £58m for new A&E department build.

Last Friday ground was broken to build the new Accident & Emergency department funded by government grants for the Queen Alexandra Hospital here in Cosham. Incredible new facilities making for a better service and experience for patients and designed to meet the needs of staff. Thank you to everyone who has worked so hard to provide this.

Cllr Lee Mason of Cosham Ward welcomed the news and said, "Together we've secured the funding to bring the A&E department up to what is required to service Cosham, Portsmouth and the wider area that the hospital serves. Seeing the ground broken on the foundations after Conservatives confirmed the funding to the tune of £58m is so welcome. And I want to thank everyone who has worked to make this possible."
