Well what a fantastic day it has been! Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the 2016 Copnor Summer Fete. We've seen even higher numbers of exhibitors and visitors from across the city on last years brilliant fete.
A few very special thanks must go to Debbie, Stacey and Jayne from the Copnor Residents Association.
To Penny Mordaunt MP and the Lord Mayor David Fuller for opening the Summer Fete, to the neighbourhood policing team and Colas for the superb bin provision and bin / litter collecting and all of the volunteers, organisations to list.
A further special thanks must go to my colleagues and friends Ben Swann, Donna Jones, leader of the City Council and all fellow Conservative Councillors and helpers who put so much hard graft and thought into helping us today.
It was amazing to see so many upbeat residents, families, friends and their dogs too. We look forward to next years summer fete and now working our way through the many excellent community improvement ideas from local residents.
