Copnor councillors Neill Young and Robert New have been helping the newly formed Copnor Residents Associaiton with their first event: The Copnor Summer Fete.
"The day was a huge success. I was pleased that myself and councillor Robert New were able to provide a financial contribution as well as help with the paperwork, promotion and bringing the community together. The work that the local residents assocation did was just amazing. The community really came out. As well as local Copnor residents, people who lived in Southsea, Drayton, Cosham, Fratton and further came to the Summer Fete. All of the hard work paid off." Said Councillor Neill Young.
Chairman of Copnor Residents Associaiton, Joann Ansdorf added "What a fantastic first Copnor Residents Association Summer Fete, The Lord Mayor of Portsmouth opened the event, supported by Donna Jones the leader of Portsmouth City Council, we have had a dancing display, junior karate, nearly all the home made cakes have gone. It has been an excellent day so far. Big thanks to Clr Neil Young and Clr Robert New, we could not have done it without you. Next the dog show."
