Penny Mordaunt and Conservative activists, Councillors and candidates came together today in Cosham High Street to promote their plans for a brighter future for local traders, High Street shops and local shopping districts.
Cosham Councillor Lee Mason said, "I'm proud that we're leading the way in terms of helping local traders. Unlike the other parties, it's only the Conservatives that get business and how small businesses are the backbone of the economy. With the spiraling rise of online merchants, we must think outside of the box to innovate ways to attract shoppers to shopping districts. If we don't do this, these shopping areas will fall into further decline and nobody wants that."
