Councillors Lee Mason along with Councillor Hannah Hockaday and Community Activist Scott Harris have been supporting the Cosham Community Association who run the community centre in Wootton street Cosham. The centre recently benefited from Free public Wifi being installed as part of the My City Wifi scheme funded by £3.2 million from central government accross the city and launched by Cllr Lee Mason as head of resources and Cllr Dona Jones as Leader of the council last month. Cosham Community Centre is also recieving a new heating system which will work better and more efficiently, saving money, the enviroment and most importantly will be safer for the users of the Community Centre. Cllr Mason said, "I was shocked that the centre has had to struggle with a really old and inefficient, unsafe system of stand alone gas fires for so long and was delighted to enable them to have this much needed improvement which will benefit the user groups."
