COSHAM & WYMERING | CLLR DR MATTHEW ATKINS
Cllr Dr Matthew Atkins was first elected in 2019 in Cosham ward. Since then Dr Atkins has become an integral part of the Portsmouth Conservative Group and brings a background in legal practice to the group, providing scrutiny of the LibDem administration.
Cllr Dr Atkins is also a lecturer at Portsmouth University and lives locally.
COPNOR | LEWIS GOSLING
Lewis Gosling is the official candidate for Copnor ward. Lewis has been a community champion and worked with local Conservatives over several years. An already well known local campaigner, Lewis has secured success with several campaigns that put residents front and centre over bad council policy.
DRAYTON & FARLINGTON | RYAN BRENT
Ryan Brent is the official candidate for Drayton and Farlington ward. Having previously been a member of the city council and now living in Drayton, Ryan will fight the seat at the 2021 local council elections. Ryan has a passion for education and is currently a maths lecturer at local colleges teaching further education.
HILSEA | DANIEL WEMYSSS
Daniel Wemyss is the official candidate for Hilsea ward. Daniel has a wealth of experience as a caseworker and grew up in Hilsea. Having attended Northern Parade schools and lived in Salerno Road, he knows the issues that affect local residents. He's been involved with campaigns (community and political) over the past four years and is ready to represent Hilsea at the City Council in 2021.
NELSON | DAVID CAIRNS
David Cairns is the official Conservative candidate for Nelson ward which takes in North End, Stamshaw, Tipner and Buckland. David grew up in this area and has run several successful businesses and worked in adult social care. David is currently the landlord of the The Brewery Tap in North End high street.
PAULSGROVE & PORT SOLENT | TONY HEWITT
Tony Hewitt is the official candidate for Paulsgrove and Port Solent. Tony lives in the local area and has been active as a campaigner over recent years, helping local councillors to deliver positive improvements across the ward.
